Jack LaLanne Juicer Review

By Kim Lanier

This power juicer review is a personal account of my experience with two of Jack LaLanne’s power juicer products.  Although Jack’s company currently offers five different styles of juicers, I myself, have only had the pleasure of using two of Jack’s models - my personal Express model and an Elite model at a place I once worked.  I decided to purchase a juicer for my home after I learned about the benefits of juicing and how easy it can be accomplished with a good quality juicer.  Through the years I have discovered many wonderful fruit and vegetable juice recipes.  There are many different types of juicers for sale on the market today but none can give you the value and quality of a Jack LaLanne juicer.

Jack LaLanne Juicer Express

I currently own a Jack LaLanne Juicer Express machine which I use daily and am constantly trying out new recipes. The express model costs about $100. I purchased mine online and have had absolutely no problems with my unit. The express is the smallest of Jack’s power juicers. It measures 14.5” x 12” 16” and comes with a non-drip spout. The motor is whisper quiet, even as it performs at 3,600 RPMs. The machine comes with a large round chute, large detachable pulp collector, and surgical-quality stainless steel blade. All of the components are dishwasher safe except of course, the motor housing.

Depending on where you purchase your juicer you can also get a great accessory pack which includes a juicer platform, measuring cup, glass stand, filter brush, “Express Juicing” Recipe Book, “Recipes for a Healthy Living” Cookbook, and a free membership to Jack’s Juice Club. The club distributes a monthly newsletter that is filled with exiting new recipes and great information about healthy living with the help of a fabulous Jack Power Juicing machine.

Jack LaLanne Power Juicer Elite

My experience with a Jack’s Power Juicer Elite is through a previous employment.  The place I worked at only served fresh squeezed juices to the customers and only fresh to order.  In order to keep up with demand we needed a juicer that could handle the volume and pace needed to fill the orders.  The elite managed well and it was also very easy to clean at the end of the day.  The elite model runs at about $150 with similar components as the express except it is much larger measuring at 16.5” x 13” 16”.  The main difference in the two types of juicers is that the elite contains soy technology which allows you to juice products like soy, rice, and nuts enabling you to create soy milk, rice milk, nut milk, and even different flavored butters.

The large spout on the elite model allows you to juice whole fruit without removing the rinds or pits.  The machine can grind items like coconut and wheat to create healthy flours.  The leftover pulp can be used to make baby food, dips, and other great purees.

Jack LaLanne Juicer Recipes

There are many great juicer cookbooks and recipe books available on market today.  The best place to find interesting recipes is online.  Most juicing recipes are designed to give you the full benefit of each fruit and vegetable you juice but there is nothing better than drinking fresh fruits and vegetables immediately after they are juiced.  Fruits and vegetables lose some of their nutritional value once they are cooked or frozen.  Some of my favorite recipes include smoothies, cold soups, and cocktails.

My favorite recipe is a delicious Carrot Ginger Soup which came directly from Jack’s power juicer website.  Simply add two cups of carrot juice, ½ cup of plain yogurt, and 1 ½ tablespoons of ginger juice.  Mix all of the ingredients and chill in the refrigerator for a little while.  Add a little bit of black better to your liking.  This is an easy and very healthy alternative to simply drinking carrot juice.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the years.

All Jack LaLanne juicers come with a lifetime warranty for their powerful motors but is very unlikely that anything will need to return your juicer.  Jack has backed his products with his name because he knows they are made of quality materials and craftsmanship.  There are numerous benefits to incorporating fruits and vegetables into your daily diet.  The excellent line of Jack’s power juicers is designed to fit even the busiest lifestyles.  The juicers eliminate excuses and put the power of healthy eating directly at your fingertips.  Expressing juices is easy and quick.  Once you are done juicing, a simple rinse of the machine or placing it in the dishwasher is sufficient enough to handle any mess and keep your juicer working well for many years to come.
